"We the People" was designed by iconic Street/Pop artist Shepard Fairey as part of a nationwide political campaign for the Inauguration Day of President-Elect Trump. Washington DC has severe restrictions on signs and banners, and these images were printed on every newspaper (i.e. Washington Post) on January 20th, as a message from the American People peacefully expressing their opposition to sexism, racism xenophobia and political apathy with powerful visual imagery. It has been reported that Barack Obama called the artist personally to request a set of "We the People" - this very set - for his own collection on the day he left office! These are now considered iconic, historic and highly collectible works. This lot consists of three large hand signed limited edition Shepard Fairey silkscreens for "We The People":

"Defend Dignity", &
"Protect Each Other"
These were originally available only through donors of a special kickstarter charity fundraising campaign. Each print is 100% official and hand signed in pencil by Shepard Fairey; unframed. Note: measurements above apply to each print.
Each Lithograph print measures (24” x 36” inches). Each print comes hand signed & dated 2017 ('17) in pencil by Shepard Fairey and have been printed on cream speckletone paper. This set is from the Original Kickstarter Campaign and is long sold out - making them incredibly rare - and already considered to be among the best images ever created by this hugely popular artist!
