This is the original silkscreen poster from Robert Indiana's historic, mid-1960s LOVE exhibition at the Stable Gallery in New York. This is the first silkscreen ever printed of Robert Indiana's famous "LOVE" design and was utilized for the exhibition poster: it is truly that iconic. This Robert Indiana exhibition at Stable Gallery in May 1966 would be the first time Indiana's world renowned "LOVE" design was exhibited by him at a gallery. This is the original poster and not a later reprint. The original Stable Gallery 1966 poster is extremely rare and highly collectible; not to many were known to have been printed and remain extant. Unsigned editions sell for thousands of dollars. But here it is, hand signed boldly in marker by Robert Indiana on the recto. This is the ultimate 1960s Pop Art poster. It's rare, it's original, it's historic and it is signed by Robert Indiana.
