This unique work of art, which was exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art for six years, where it had been on long-term loan,  is an extraordinary piece for any true Damien Hirst fan. This skull sculpture was gifted by Damien Hirst to a member of an American Rock  & Roll band that Hirst befriended. It is a unique work - and is, exceptionally hand signed by the artist. It is also accompanied by a letter from Damien Hirst's representative, confirming the authenticity and value of the work. The work is boldly signed in black marker by the artist, and still bears Damien Hirst's studio tag with inventory number. The buyer will also be provided with the original box bearing labels from the Portland Museum, a copy of the authentication letter and appraisal from Damien Hirst's representative, correspondence with the museum, as well as a photograph of the artist and the present owner.

Condition is excellent and authenticity is unconditionally guaranteed. Hirst made a series of these works, with each one unique.  However, we have yet to see another one from this group at auction, let alone one that is beautifully signed by the artist and with such impressive provenance.
