A wonderful iconic image showing Warhol's classic four Campbell's soup cans arranged in an fantastic array of different angles. This postcard depicts Warhol’s 1962 painting Four Campbell’s Soup Cans, which is among Warhol’s earliest works exploring mechanical repetition and the iconography of mass consumption. Executed in casein and graphite on canvas, each can is meticulously rendered using a projector to transfer the photographic image, preceding his later use of silkscreen. His Soup Cans remains THE Warhol image – arguably more iconic than Marilyn in some contexts.
