Double Elvis (Inscribed to Maryanne and hand signed twice by Andy Warhol), 1977
Limited Edition Offset Lithograph. Hand signed and dedicated. Framed.
39 1/2 × 26 × 1 in
This dazzling limited edition offset lithograph, depicting Andy Warhol's iconic Double Elvis painting, was published on the occasion of the 1977 exhibition "Andy Warhol Portraits" at the Denver Art Museum in Colorado, organized by the Seattle Art Museum. It is, exceptionally, hand signed and inscribed "to Maryanne" by Andy Warhol, and signed again by Warhol with his initials above the full signature and inscription. It was acquired from the estate of the artist and noted collector Rick Collar. Extremely rare when hand signed -- let alone inscribed and signed twice as is the present work. A true collectors item, depicting one of the most important and iconic portraits Warhol ever created. (Double Elvis).
Hand signed twice had signed Andy Warhol and inscribed "to Maryanne"; signed with Warhol's initials above inscription
