In 2017, the world famous Chinese artist Ai Weiwei collaborated with New York's Public Art Fund to put on a monumental outdoor contemporary art exhibition called "Good Fences Make Good Neighbors", an installation that spanned more than 300 sites across all five boroughs of New York City. The project, introduced during the first year of the Trump Administration in the U.S. dealt with the topic of immigration, exile and refugees as the title boldly suggests. To help raise funds for the "Good Fences Make Good Neighbors" installation, Ai Weiwei created this limited edition print for the Public Art Fund. "Odyssey" is based upon a work that was included in the exhibition and it depicts the global refugee condition in the style of a classic Greco-Roman frieze. Authenticity guaranteed.
