An Educated Collector is Our Best Client

Welcome to our modern and contemporary art boutique! Please check out the "About Us" section at the bottom to learn about our history, contact us and/or to arrange to visit our Chelsea, Manhattan showroom. We'd love to meet you! You can also find us on Artsy, Artnet, Artspace and 1stDibs - but our small, family owned business has been selling fine art, rare books, coveted exhibition ephemera and conversation pieces online before all of them! For the privacy of our clients and for ease in viewing, we typically remove works from this website after they have sold out - and we do not publish or share sold prices.

Ai Weiwei

Study of Perspective - (aka F*ck! the Trump White House),  with COA hand signed by Ai Weiwei, 2017

Set of Three (3) Silkscreened Skate Decks on 100% 7-Ply Canadian Maple Wood (Numbered with Hand signed COA (hand signed by Ai Weiwei)

31 × 8 inches

Edition of 66

This special edition of 66, signed and numbered with hand signed COAs was produced in 2017 - to 'commemorate' the first 100 disastrous days of the Trump administration - and it sold out promptly. Note the measurements above apply to each of the set of three. The skate decks were produced in an edition of 666 - but only 66 of them are hand numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity - hand signed by Ai Weiwei. This is one of the 66 special ones. Extremely rare and highly collectible; a true collectors' item. This limited edition was based on Ai Weiwei’s provocative artwork that was presented during a controversial art exhibition “Fuck Off” which ran alongside the Third Shanghai Biennale in 2000. “Study of Perspective – White House” is an iconic example of a larger body of work by Ai Weiwei that melds art and activism, and is an overt critical response to the current political climate in the United States.

Study of Perspective, a series of images shot between 1995 and 2003, shows the artist flipping the finger against different buildings across the globe, either landmarks or symbols of authority.

The gesture, captured using a snapshot aesthetic, confronts its viewer with a universal and concise statement of Ai Weiwei’s political opposition. A fantastic investment -- already an historical collectors' item!

Signature: Signed on the deck; hand numbered and accompanied by a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity.
