Sculptor John Chamberlain Reliefs 1960-1982 SIGNED Exhibition Catalogue Ringling

Reliefs 1960-1982

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

Sarasota, Florida

January 28-March 27, 1983

It is extremely difficult to find anything hand signed by the late John Chamberlain, and this is an extremely rare gem.

It is a vintage softcover catalogue with stiff wraps published on the occasion of the above exhibition. The artist has boldly signed his name in blue ink on the title page in his distinctive and inimitable signature.

Authenticity is unconditionally guaranteed; NO questions: NO quibbles.

The catalogue essay is by Michael Auping. This volume features 34 color plates. It measures 8.5 by 11 inches and has 96 pages. At the end is a detailed Checklist of the works in the exhibition and a Biographical Chronology.

The previous owner highlighted only one paragraph with a yellow highlighter - a telling sentence from a Q and A with the artist who explains that he wanted the reliefs to be more like pictures and less about the material. Other than Chamberlains bold signature there are no other markings.

There is some shelfwear to the covers, front and back, but the catalogue is otherwise in very good vintage condition.

UNIQUELY signed. Extremely rare when signed. A real collectible!!! A must have for serious John Chamberlain fans a d collectors.
