This work was part of a one-off collaboration between Barney's Department Store in New York, the Estate of Roy Lichtenstein and the Art Production Fund to sell limited edition works based on the artist's work. Lichtenstein’s wife, Dorothy, authorized each piece of the collection. Very elusive and desirable, long sold out piece. For inspiration only is a photo of the original Barney's shop window advertising the collection which, at the time received tremendous publicity including a spread in GQ and other glossy magazines.  Barney's was a legendary Manhattan luxury department store on Madison Avenue, which sadly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2019.

The blanket is made of absorbent, soft cotton terry and it's large size (59 x 70") makes it great for picnics or on the beach. It's also great as a throw blanket or on your wall as a wall-hanging.
