This rare artist proof by the popular painter, Roy De Forest, is unframed and mounted in two places along upper center. (Deaccessioned from the Denver Art Museum). It depicts Roy's dog Ratu with a Dingo. More about Ratu: "Roy's favorite dog, the one he always talked about, could flatten the tires of his car with his teeth and ripped the upholstery out of the car once. De Forest's Queensland heeler, Ratu, actually got credit for urinating on paintings....Towards the end of his life, de Forest remembered Ratu as "a great art critic." - Susan Landauer, in "Of Dogs and Other People: The Art of Roy de Forest"
