Pierre Alechinsky, ARIS-KOBENHAVN CoBrA Catalog, Uniquely Hand Signed by 10 Artists, 1981

This is a one-of-a kind collectors item. It is the softcover catalogue with stapled wraps published on the occasion of the above exhibition of mainly European CoBrA artists. Art collector Ole P. Nielsen however, collected personal signatures and many dedications from 10 of the artists in this catalogue.
It is thus UNIQUELY hand signed and/or dedicated by the following ten artists:
JEAN MESSAGIER ("Pour Ole/Amicalement/Jean Messagier")
CARL-HENNING PEDERSEN
REINHOUD
MOGENS ANDERSEN (with a lengthy dedication in Danish)
PIERRE ALECHINSKY (dated 5/9/1981)
JAN VOSS
ALBERT BITRAN
PIERRE SOULAGES
JORGEN HAUGEN SORENSEN
YASSE TABUCHI
Other artists features in this exhibition catalogue, whose signatures were not obtained are:
ELSE ALFELT
ASGER JORN
IPOUSTEGUY
JEAN-PIERRE PINCEMIN
This catalogue has 60 pages and measures 8.5 by 12 inches. There is notable wear to the covers (front and back), including some fading, staining, etc. but the inside pages are all in very good condition. It is filled with black and white and color illustrations of various sizes.

But what makes this catalogue absolutely unique and a true collectors' items is the 10 signatures that the Danish art collector/entrepreneur assiduously secured from the artists represented in this exhibition. NEVER have we --ever -- seen a volume with all ten of those artists signatures together.

A must have for fans of any of the above artists, for followers of the key expontents of the CoBrA movement (Asger Jorn, Pierre Alechinsky, etc.) and for collectors of rare artist books and autographs.

NOT ex-library. Note that the header image is a reproduction from inside the catalogue with the artist's dedication, and the actual cover itself is shown within the listing.
