Provenance: from the original 11 Pop Artist Portfolio, This work is held in the original portfolio sleeve, and it will be the first time since 1966 that it will have been removed from the original portfolio box. Excellent condition; never framed.

This dazzling print print from the 1960s by renowned British Pop Artist Peter Phillips, was created during one of the most desirable eras in the history of Pop Art. Other editions of this work are held in the permanent collections of major museums and public collections around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. It has thus become quite scarce and is rarely seen at auction.

The present work was acquired as part of the complete 11 Pop Artists, Volume I portfolio, contained in the original slipcase with colophon pages. This is the very first time since 1966 that it will be separated from the original portfolio, which also contained works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, James Rosenquist, Mel Ramos, Jim Dine, and others.

Peter Phillips' "Custom Print I" is accompanied by its original white portfolio sleeve. In fine condition; never framed.
