An Educated Collector is Our Best Client

Welcome to our modern and contemporary art boutique! Please check out the "About Us" section at the bottom to learn about our history, contact us and/or to arrange to visit our Chelsea, Manhattan showroom. We'd love to meet you! You can also find us on Artsy, Artnet, Artspace and 1stDibs - but our small, family owned business has been selling fine art, rare books, coveted exhibition ephemera and conversation pieces online before all of them! For the privacy of our clients and for ease in viewing, we typically remove works from this website after they have sold out - and we do not publish or share sold prices.

Description

Nobuyoshi Araki

Private Tokyo, 1996

Two sided offset lithograph

Signed and numbered 26/50

Unframed

This dramatically large, stunning, two sided offset lithograph print, with a black and white front and a colored photographic back was created on the occasion of Nobuyoshi Araki's exhibition, "Private Tokyo" at the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, Germany from  June 14, 1996 to January 5, 1997. Hand signed by the artist on the lower right recto  and numbered from a limited edition of only 50. The work is unframed but could be framed with a die-cut back or in a shadow box to reveal both sides, each of which is very different - and a unique work unto itself. It's like purchasing two prints in one.   A very rare and very desirable find - especially uncommon stateside.

SIGNATURE

Boldly signed and numbered by the artist in black marker on the lower right recto.
