Called "the teacup that shook the world", this limited edition numbered teaset was produced in 1988, based faithfully upon Malevich's exact design of 1918-1923. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by the manufacturer which states,
"This porcelain group - teapot and three cups- is an exact reconstruction of the original design (1918-1923) by Kazimir Malevich. The casts are made from a blend of porcelain trays, fired to vitrification. This certificate accompanies set No. 39/200, and the teapot bears that number on the underside. The edition is strictly limited and models will be destroyed upon its completion."
In fine condition; a complete set. Very rare to find all intact and in such good condition - especially as those complete sets that are extant are mostly in institutional collections including the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. (see link below for more details on the work in their collection):

This set has superb provenance: it was acquired from the estate of renowned art critic Arthur Cohen and pioneering painter, designer and collector Elaine Lustig Cohen - often referred to as the quintessential modernist.
 

Certificate of Authenticity, hand numbered and signed by Robert Bozak and Gilles Gheerbrant. The work iis hand numbered 39/200 underside.
