Karel Appel, Untitled Drawing, from the Collection of Jacob and Aviva Baal Teshuva, ca. 1980

This unique signed color drawing in crayon was gifted by Karel Appel to the renowned collectors and art historians Jacob and Aviva Baal Teshuva, and was acquired from their private collection. The work is held in the first front end page of the vintage 1972 softcover exhibition catalogue with stiff pictorial wraps "Appel's Appels", Montreal: Rothmans of Pall Mall Canada Limited, featuring 80 pages illustrated with numerous color plates and black and white photographs of works from the artist's private collection. This beautiful drawing has not been removed from the monograph to preserve provenance, but it will look beautiful when framed and hung.
