This stunning, impressive, large vintage lithograph was designed by Pop Art legend Jasper Johns to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. The American flag is one of Johns' most popular and enduring motifs. This work was published in a limited edition of 5000 - but the present work is, exceptionally, hand signed in ink by Jasper Johns. This work was printed on lithographic paper - not on glossy poster paper.
