This unique original hand signed Lipchitz drawing was acquired directly from the Collection of renowned art dealers Helena and Ladislas Segy, who were close personal friends of Lipchitz.  (The Helena Segy Irrevocable Trust).  The work is held in its original vintage frame. 

Ink Pen on Paper. Hand Signed. Framed.

The labels on the back state:

According to Segy:

"This sketch was made by Lipchitz in the gallery, taking at random a piece of paper, to explain some elements of composition. He signed it at my request. "

A bronze sketch entitled "Sketch for the gate of the roofless Church/"1958.17.1/8"

is illustrated in H.H. Arnason "Sketch in Bronze" New York 1969.
