In the 1970s, Academy Arts company commissioned Dorothy Dehner to design a series of bold, attractive, geometric serigraphs that the company would market to the public as decorative and affordable works of art. This is one of the designs. They were produced in a limited edition for a limited period, but the exact amount created and sold is unknown. This work bears the artist's printed (plate) signature and can be hung horizontally or vertically. It's a wonderful piece of mid-century modern art and design.
