Limited Edition of only 100
This extremely rare offset lithograph was signed in an edition of only 100 on the occasion of a 1980 roller skating event at the Roxy Roller Disco (known colloquially as "The Roxy) on West 18th Street in Manhattan. The event, and the print, sold exclusively to VIP donors and not mass marketed, was sponsored by the famous upscale clothing store Barney's, known for its historic collaboration with artists, to raise funds for the Grey Art Gallery and Study Center, the prestigious gallery at New York University. Since David Hockney designed the poster, and he's an Englishman, it was spelled "Study Centre" -- even though in the US its spelled Center. An historic hand signed limited edition print that is rarely found in the market. Unnumbered from the limited edition of 100.
Held in original shrink wrap. Any minor dings around the corners will frame out.
