This work has extremely special provenance and is very rare when hand signed. It was gifted by Christo's son Cyril Christo to his high school art teacher Paul Lacombe, at the Dalton School in New York City. The work hung in Mr. Lacombe's home until he passed away. Years later, his wife Bette Lacombe donated this to Nevada Public Radio's charity auction -- where we acquired it. Terrific, uncommon vintage poster from the 1983 exhibition in Milan of "Surrounded Islands". Mounted on board; very rare and collectible when hand signed by Christo.
 
 

Signature: Boldly hand signed by Christo in blue marker above printed name.

Provenance: Acquired from the wife of Christo's son's teacher at Dalton

Condition: Good vintage condition; there is staining and indentations to the edges of the board, caused by the original frame which was removed for easier shipping - (see first photo) which will re-frame out.

The work ships flat as it is mounted to board.
