Description

This is a rare pastel drawing done by the artist of his wife, the artist Emily Mason and daughter. Given the age of the child in the drawing and the year it was created we believe the work depicts his youngest daughter, Cecily Kahn, who is a successful artist in her own right. Wolf Kahn is one of America's most celebrated landscape/color field painters. Hand signed on recto (front). This work bears the Grace Borgenicht Gallery label - Wolf Kahn's gallery of record for many years. Works from this era, with the Borgenicht provenance, are especially desirable.
