Don Hazlitt (b. 1948): "Side Glance," 1980

For offer here is a marvelous light mixed media wall sculpture made of wire, oil, wood, paper maché and cardboard by renowned California-born American artist and art professor Don Hazlitt.

The work is hand signed, titled and dated on verso. It has superb provenance as it was exhibited at the famed Barbara Gladstone Gallery in New York, and bears the gallery label verso. It was acquired from the private collection of  Jan Cowles, mother in law of Artforum editor Charles Cowles, the famed gallerist.

It measures  10 x 10 x 1 1/2 inches and is ready to hang.

Don Hazlitt is an important and collectible American artist who is now represented by the Andre Zarre Gallery in Manhattan.
