This is a unique handwritten, hand signed letter written by Sarah Lucas in blue ink to a fan, done on the other side of a promotional card depicting Sarah Lucas' print "Squab Squaw" from the 2011 SNAP print portfolio. The letter reads:
"Dear Jenny,
this is pigeon I found dead in the garden. Poor thing. It's good to look at art and even better to look out for interesting things in the world.
