In 1983, Roy Lichtenstein was commissioned by the Brooklyn Academy of Music to design their publicity poster for the Next Wave Festival. The poster itself is normally unsigned; however, exceptionally, this work is hand signed, dated and uniquely inscribed on the front. The 'wave' motif is so iconic that the Lichtenstein Foundation uses it on their home page.
The work is elegantly framed in a handmade museum quality frame under UV plexiglass.
