In this Mixed Media 3-D Construction, in Custom Fitted Lucite Box, entitled “Extra! Extra! Read All About It!”, Pop Art legend Red Grooms revisits the rich subject matter of his New York City neighborhood. This newsstand portrays one of the most common New York street corner sights. Grooms’ extraordinary eye for detail and his depiction of a few of the city’s eccentrics makes for a colorful and entertaining scene. “Extra! Extra! Read All About It!” has been printed in six colors from eleven plates in an edition of 50, on two sheets of white Rives BFK paper that have been cut, folded, assembled and mounted in a plexiglas cover that measures 20 x 26¾ x 10½”. - Description courtesy of Shark's Ink, the publisher/manufacturer.
