This is a hand signed and numbered Artist's Proof, aside from the regular edition of 100, with the special annotation "Wishes" in graphite.

It is Israeli born artist Menashe Kadishman's colorful depiction of The Wailing Wall (known in the West as the Western Wall) the famous Jewish holy site in the Old City of Jerusalem, Israel. It was called the Wailing Wall because of the Jewish practice of coming to the site to mourn and bemoan the destruction of the Temple.

The work is annotated "Wishes" by the artist, which was a personal inscription. But it also has a second meaning, as it has become a tradition for visitors from all over the world, and of all religions, to hand write notes to God and place the slips of paper containing written prayers and personal messages into the cracks of the Wailing Wall.

This work is elegantly matted and framed in a museum quality black wood frame with UV plexiglass.
