This rare poignant early Nesbitt drawing was done in 1968 - depicting a grandfather clock in a sparse interior setting - called "Studio Wall Clock." It is in the original frame to preserve provenance, but the glass has been removed for safety. It retains the original labels from the Corcoran Gallery of Art, where this was exhibited at the Fifteenth Anniversary of the Friends of the Corcoran Exhibition, March 19-April 11, 1976. The work was lent by the late Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie Gordon, who worked for the United States Geological Survey for 40 years, from 1941–1981, and later with the Museum of Natural History.
