ALPHA 137 GALLERY
ALPHA 137 GALLERY
This rare, dramatic black and white screenprint of a staircase ("sans" nude descending) in the shape of a piano keyboard was created as part of the New York City Center of Music and Drama portfolio, to raise funds for its 25th anniversary celebration. Artists who contributed works to this important portfolio include Richard Anuszkiewicz, Jim Dine, Robert Indiana, Gerald Laing, Lowell Nesbitt, George Segal, and Jack Youngerman. Youngerman has had a long and prolific career with major museum shows at the Guggenheim and the MoMA amongst others. The provenance of this piece is excellent as this will be the first time it will be separated from the original portfolio, with the yellow case designed by Pop artist Peter Gee.
Unframed and in excellent condition.
Signed, numbered and dated on the recto (front)
