Superb provenance: From the collection of Jacob and Aviva Bal Teshuva, renowned art collectors, patrons and historians. This vivid 100% silk scarf designed by color field super star Kenneth Noland was produced in conjunction with the Whitney Museum in an unnumbered, limited quantity in 1999. The images show the work folded - but opened fully it measures: 24 inches vertical by 54 inches horizontal. The scarf sold out quickly and was never reissued again. It makes for a wonderful collector's item. Held in the original plastic packaging from the Whitney Museum with the stamped Whitney Museum of American Art label on the recto. On the verso (back) of the sleeve the text reads as follows: A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this item benefits the Whitney Museum of American Art and its programs.
