John Baeder

to purchase, go to: www.artsy.net/artwork/john-baeder-empire-diner

Rarely to market, this is one of only six (6) Printer's Proofs of John Baeder's iconic "Empire Diner" - one of his favorite subjects, and one of the artist's most desirable vintage prints. Empire Diner is the legendary eater on 10th Avenue in Chelsea (NYC) -- founded in 1946, but renovated in 1976 in an Arte Moderne style, to famously include the Empire State Building outline on its roof. It became a city fixture and an artists' nexus from then on. The restaurant closed on May 15, 2010 - but it has recently reopened under new management. This print is hand signed and numbered; unframed and in very good condition. Fine provenance as it was acquired from the collection of the Amity Art Foundation. This work has deckled edges, so it will look terrific when floated and framed.

signed and numbered PP 3/6 on the recto (front).
