Description
“Porcelain was the emperor’s material,” Jeff Koons once said. “But today it has been democratized and everybody can enjoy porcelain.” Using the porcelain plate as an empty canvas, Koons has collaborated with the renowned French tableware crafter Bernardaud to reproduce one of his most iconic designs - Michael Jackson and Bubbles.
Makes an impressive gift! This is a unique item - as it features an original hand signed and dedicated flower drawing, done in gold marker, on the outside of the box housing a brand new limited edition porcelain plate of Michael Jackson and Bubbles. The flower drawing is dedicated to "Meghan". This gorgeous porcelain service plate is Fabricated by Bernardaud in 2013 and made in France; limited to 4,500 unnumbered plates; his signature is fired in the plate and the plate is housed in the original presentation box. The drawing can be framed separately and hung on a wall; or the box can be kept intact and/or given as a gift. A wonderful and highly collectible item and a must have for all Jeff Koons fans. There is minor smudging and age wear to the drawing as it's done on the outside of a box; otherwise in good vintage condition.
