Rarely to market, this marvelous early (1971) Pop Art mixed media Rosenquist piece, a 9-color lithograph on white Arches Cover paper with vacuum formed plastic hourglass containing plastic beads, explores the hourglass theme (long before, by the way, Ed Ruscha did), of time, Earth, Moon - the cosmos - with an actual plexiglass hourglass and "sand" ingeniously added to the piece. The photographs don't do justice to the piece; there is actual sand - that flows - just like an hour glass. "Earth & Moon" is #XI of XXX Artist Proofs, aside from the regular edition of only 70. This uncommon work - from one of the most desirable eras in Pop Art history - is framed and ready to hang.
