Artist's Statement:
“Portrait of Venti depicts my adorable dog Venti, one of two pets who have spent the pandemic time with my wife and I. We adopted Venti,a male blue merle Pomeranian, tri-colored, black, grey, and white, in 2014 from a shelter. Venti and Loki taught me about responsibility, sacrifice, and love. When we were depressed during the COVID-19 lockdown, they supported us with invaluable love even though we both lost our jobs. They kept making us smile and they made us feel comfortable staying home every day. As a parent of both of these pets, they are my motivation to overcome the pandemic period and make us keep walking forward.”
