Artist's Statement:

"Portrait of Loki depicts my adorable dog Loki, one of two pets who have spent the pandemic time with my wife and I. We adopted Loki, a male mixed Italian Greyhound, brown and white color, in 2019 from a shelter. Venti and Loki taught me about responsibility, sacrifice, and love. When we were depressed during the COVID-19 lockdown, they supported us with invaluable love even though we both lost our jobs. They kept making us smile and they made us feel comfortable staying home every day. As a parent of both of these pets, they are my motivation to overcome the pandemic period and make us keep walking forward."
