This magnificent, classic Hunt Slonem painting depicting a red-headed bird was dedicated to the art critic and author Ronny Cohen - who wrote the essay for Slonem's book "Exotica". Ronnie was a friend of the artist - and a friend of ours too. The work is enclosed in a frame that was constructed by the artist himself. On the verso (rear) it is hand signed ink ink, bearing the inscription:

For Ronny on the big 50

This was acquired directly from Ronny Cohen, a personal friend of ours and Hunt's. It has not appeared at public auction and is fresh to market. A wonderful Hunt Slonem gem- a very special piece with very special provenance!
