Lovely handwritten letter in green ink to Bill Thomas Lumpkins (founder of Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts), held in fold out offset lithograph card depicting Frankenthaler's 1964 painting "Red Frame" at the Sheldon Art Museum in Nebraska. The handwritten letter, dated 25 December '89 reads:
Merry! Happy!
All the best to you Bobbie and Bill, my buddies, as we walk into the 90s! /Tried you by phone today, no luck; having a good time wherever you are? It's COLD! But warm of (Heart drawing).
