Alan Cote is a well known abstract painter who exhibited at Park Place Gallery in the 1960s, and later Paula Cooper, Betty Cuningham, Reese Paley Gallery and Washburn Galleries. Despite this incredible exhibition record and critical success in the 1960s and 1970s, he did not achieve the fame of many of his counterparts -- but today Cote is ripe for re-discovery, and he is indeed being re-discovered.
