Description
This limited edition Agnes Martin print is a part of a exhibition invitation created by the PaceWildenstein Gallery (now PACE) promoting Martin's 2003 show. The image is based on her painting Untitled #1 which was included in the exhibition. What makes this lithograph so collectible is that it was produced during Martin's lifetime - in fact the year before she passed. Even though it is technically an exhibition invitation, this print is so beautiful, collectors have framed and hung it prominently along with the rest of their fine art pieces. This edition was limited to 1000 unnumbered copies; it is especially uncommon when held in the original gallery sleeve as the present work.
The offset lithograph printed in blueish & grayish colors on a thin frosted vellum is based on her painting titled: "Untitled #1, 2002"
