Rare, vintagelimited edition photo lithograph, "New Beginnings are in the Offing", produced on the occasion of Beuys' exhibition at the Richard Demarco Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland. The image depicts Joseph Beuys with the statue of 'Greyfriars Bobby' in Edinburgh. It is hand signed in pencil by  Joseph Beuys and numbered, 366/400, sight 23.5"h, 17.5"w
overall: 28"h x  22.25" w.

This work has fine provenance, as it was acquired from the Estate of Vera Habrecht Simons, a true Renaissance woman, who, after escaping the Holocaust, settled in Texas and became an artist and scientist. She was an international artist with a varied background in other disciplines which have greatly influenced her artwork. Her work was featured in group shows alongside her contemporaries, Bruce Nauman, Richard Serra, Andy Warhol and Christo. She studied formally at the Walker Art Center, the Minneapolis School of Art, the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., and with the artist, Theodore Stamos.
