Offset Lithograph on Wove Paper (Hand Signed)
35 1/2 × 26 in
90.2 × 66 cm
Very rare and desirable when hand signed. This dazzling pencil signed offset lithograph was created by David Hockney to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Paris Review. It was part of a series of works created over the years by renowned artists, including Andy Warhol, Helen Frankenthaler, Christo, Willem de Kooning, Louise Bourgeois, Alex Katz and others who were commissioned to create works to raise funds for the Paris Review literary publication. As this was, exceptionally a lithographic poster created to celebrate the 25th Anniversary, it was not numbered, but it is indeed hand signed by Hockney. Only a limited number of these 25th Anniversary prints were signed by the artist, to raise funds for the publication.
This print is on card stock mounted to poster board, as it was originally framed. It is currently unframed; ready to be re-framed. The print itself is in fine condition; minor bending to the edges of the poster board, which will frame out.
